  • Advised and coached joint owner in a dysfunctional partnership through the negotiations and successful sale of £10m manufacturing business.
  • Part of the leadership team who turned around a business from bankruptcy - £140m debit, taken over by three banks, turned around and sold business 3 years later for £320m.
  • Led my own leadership and coaching business advising a range of CEO's and their leadership teams.  This included delivering the Transformational Leadership Programme for the Institute of Directors (IoD).

Operational, commercial, delivery

  • Operated and transformed a £150m outsourced services business from multi-million loss making to above sector profit performance.  Owned strategic client relationships (including CEOs of local authorities) with contracts up to £30m p. and accountable for providing services to over 2,000 customers.
  • Recovered a failed (losing money & customers) post acquisition integration by implementing a revised operating model, driving up performance standards and staff pride, achieving a 90% customer retention, 45% new business win rate and reducing operational costs by over 20%.
  • Led post acquisition integration of a global ICT function (23 countries, 800 people) whist being operationally accountable for the ICT service.
  • Negotiated the exit of critical but underperforming subcontractors, with multi-million pound contracts, raising service performance and improving the commercial position of the customer & our company.
  • Negotiated the exit from commercially onerous multi-year customer contract, avoiding £15m of liabilities.
